Autumn exams are being held. Timetables and information letters are out this week.
Friday 18 & Saturday 19 November 2011
Dance Attack hosted a workshop with Tim Noble of Purestar Productions. Tim is not only an amazing dancer & choreographer but he is very entertaining & lively so the workshops were so much fun! Tim has the most incredible career working in TV and film & has choreographed for many huge stars, Kylie Minogue (he was her dance captain & choreographer for 6 years working on her biggest hits), Gwen Stephanie and Usher to name just a few! We were so lucky to be able to have his time & talent at our studio. Tim has a dynamic teaching style so everyone came away with new ideas & a head full of knowledge on the workings of the TV & film industry! Lots of tired & happy dancers at Dance Attack!

We are on holiday this week to recharge our batteries, lol! All classes have been working exceptionally hard this first term which has been brilliant & means we are slightly ahead of our learning schedule. Great work, everyone! Enjoy your week off & I'll look forward to seeing you again after the holiday.

Classes restart following our summer break. Your information letters have been sent out and should reach you by Wednesday 10 August. Classes restart week beginning 22nd August. Don't forget to text me please to confirm your space.

June 2011 - Annual Show
Tickets for our show are now on sale from Alloa Library. We are well on the way to making the event a sell-out for the 4th year running! How great is that for the kids? They work so hard all year towards this week so to have a full house supporting them is just magical.

Tights - can you please make sure you have the correct tights as detailed in the letter.
Hair - there are not enough volunteers to do hair so you will have to do it yourself at home please.
Helpers - if you have offered to help, thank you. You should get an info letter at your next class.
Classes - the last class of this term will be Saturday 18th June. We will restart in August after the summer holidays. Thanks again for coming along to classes this year, I hope you've all had a great time and learned a lot along the way.

I am a judge at the Forth Valley Schools Dance Competition & our Senior 1 group have been invited to perform 2 routines to entertain the audience during the evening. Although I will be at the Tiny Tots class on that night, Amy Tennant will be taking the other classes.
27 February 2011- Spring Exams
The examiner and exact timetable are still to be confirmed but we will start at 1pm & finish around 6.30pm (ish). The venue is Alva Parish Church. Correct class uniform needs to be worn so can you check ballet shoe elastics are sewn on securely & if you need to order any dancewear, tights, shoes etc, can you do so asap, please. A letter with all the relevant information will be given to all candidates once all the entries are in. The final date for entry is Weds 16 Feb.
26 January 2011 - Broadway Beats
Our new adult class has been launched. I think we used as many calories laughing as we did dancing! It's great fun and a little bit different. The class includes a little tap, a sprinkling of shimmies, lots of jazz hands, sparkly top hats, canes and a whole lot of laughter! You don't need any dance experience, just bring along your enthusiasm! Your first class is FREE so you have nothing to lose - except those extra pounds you might have put on during the Christmas holidays!

Our annual shows will be held in Alloa Town Hall. Tickets priced £7.50 will be on sale from Limetree House Alloa 01259 213131 from Monday 07 June. This is our biggest event of the year and is a great night full of fun, laughter and dance! Our kids have been working really hard for the last 4 months so let's show our support and fill the seats. There's nothing more exciting than the electric atmosphere of a full house. See you there!

The Tuesday classes will be taking part in Go Dance in The Theatre Royal in Glasgow. This should be a great and exciting day for us and although it will involve a lot of hard work, I'm sure we're all really looking forward to it.

Happy New Year!
I hope you all enjoyed the Christmas break and are looking forward to working off the turkey at dance class! We restart week beginning Monday 4th January 2010 and I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again and catching up with all your news!
I hope you're all watching the 2 fabulous dance programmes which are on TV at the moment. So you think you can dance and Got to dance. Some of the work is inspiring so get your shoes looked out, get warmed up and let's dance our way through 2010!

October holiday - no classes
Reminder for 2010. Rehearsal dates are 14, 15 & 22 June. The shows will take place on 23, 24 & 25 June. As already advised, pupils wishing to take part in the show must be able to take part in the stage/technical rehearsal or rehearsals as required. Pupils attending the Monday, Wednesday & Saturday classes will have 1 stage/technical rehearsal and 1 show. Pupils attending the Tuesday classes will dance in all shows and must attend all the rehearsals on the required dates.
